Media releases 2004 ANZ Championship Winner Granted Honorary Membership at Horizons Thursday, 12 February 2004 Horizons CEO, Antonio Gelonesi today announced the winner of the ANZ Championship being held from 12-15 February 2004 would also gain a prestigious honorary membership to Horizons Golf Resort. Horizons Golf Resort boasts a 6,187m championship course designed by Graham Marsh and has previously hosted the NSW Open and the ALPG Players’ Championship. Gelonesi said “It is only fitting that the winner of the ANZ Championship should also gain membership to the home of the 2004 ANZ Championship and return on a more leisurely basis to enjoy the Port Stephens region and all it has to offer”. The ANZ Championship is a co-sanctioned event on the Australasian and European PGA Tours and 156 players including US LPGA player Laura Davies will compete for $1.75m in prize money in the richest golf event ever staged outside an Australian metropolitan centre.
