Media releases Byrnes Gains Non-Exempt Conditional Status at 2004 LPGA Tour Final Qualifying Monday, 27 October 2003 Horizons Golf Resort’s Touring Professional, Cherie Byrnes fired rounds of 69, 71, 70 and 77 to miss by two shots on a fully exempt card but was successful in obtaining non-exempt conditional status in the final qualifying stage for the 2004 LPGA Tour being held at the LPGA International Legends Course, Daytona, Florida. Byrnes was sitting at tied 3rd position at the completion of play in round three with a total of 210 (-6) and made the cut to continue through to the final round where there were 28 exempt cards up for grabs for the 2004 LPGA Tour. Byrnes was among the further 35 players who received non-exempt status for 2004 where she will make it into a limited number of events. Byrnes said “I am delighted to have received non-exempt conditional status and will look forward to the experience I will receive at playing at these events in the 2004 LPGA Tour”. |
