Byrnes’ will head out tomorrow at 7.45am and has a 12-foot putt to make on the 17th hole for par and once play has been completed the field will be cut to the low 70 players and ties and re-paired by scores. Play for the final round will commence at approximately 10am tomorrow in groups of three off both tees with the leaders teeing off the first tee last. Byrnes is another step closer to an opportunity of obtaining one of the 28 exempt spots on the 2004 LPGA Tour which are up for grabs and a sudden-death play-off will be held tomorrow to determine the 28th spot if needed. The next 35 finishers and ties will earn non-exempt status for 2004. Byrnes said “Today I hit the ball really great and I’m putting well. I decided to make the final putt to complete the 17th tomorrow as there was a bad divot on the green which will be repaired tomorrow and I’ll head out fresh ready to complete the third round”.
