Media releases Accolades Continue for Horizons Golf Resort Monday, 28 July 2003 Horizons Golf Resort was announced winner in three categories of the 2003 Hotel Motel Accommodation Association (HMAA) Industry Awards for Excellence held Saturday 26 July in Coffs Harbour. Horizons took out the Best Convention/Conference Accommodation two years running, Best Trainee/Apprentice of the Year (Adrian Hoffman) and was awarded the coveted Judge’s Award for Most Outstanding Property. The HMAA Awards focus on recognising accommodation establishments that excel in delivering the guest experience in their particular niche market and the achievements and talents of individuals who deliver these experiences. It is the first time a property has won the Best Convention/Conference Accommodation two years running and this achievement was further acknowledged with Horizons being announced as the outright leader in the Most Outstanding Property category. In addition to the above prestigious award, Horizons trainee Adrian Hoffman was recently awarded Trainee of the Year in the Hospitality/Tourism industry category in the 2003 NSW Group Training Awards. With Hoffman performing the duties of Conference Operations Assistant and ensuring everyone enjoys the ‘Horizons Experience’ beyond their expectations, companies can expect their conference to be a great success. General Manager, Simon Brown said “It is highly rewarding for the team at Horizons Golf Resort to be recognised through the HMAA awards judging process which pits nominated properties within the Association membership. Recognition of the conference facilities and services for a second year will provide conference organisers a level of confidence in selecting Horizons Golf Resort as the venue for future conferences. The recognition of Adrian as Trainee/Apprentice of the Year reflect the emphasis that Horizons Golf Resort places on the development of our younger team members.” |
